Bill Mauldin's autobiography from life as a youngster, to a budding political cartoonist, to his lasting fame as a war cartoonist, during World War II, earning the ire of General George S. Patton, and the applause of other Generals as a morale builder. After the war he became an editorial cartoonist for the Chicago News Times, and also covering two more wars, Korea and Vietnam.
